This Ducati 748 / 916 /996 MWR airfilter replaces the original airfilters and the mounitngs in the air ducts.Then pull the racefilter over the two velocity stacks .The mesh or gauze at the air intakes must be maintained if you are using the original eprom.If you want to remove them then you will need to replace the eprom or fit a remapping device (such as a Powercommander) to correct the fuelling.Remove If you want to use these filters but have the standard exhaust fitted then you can remove the gauze but do not have to change the eprom or remap the bike.The filter protects your engine particularly from stones and other foreign bodies which can have a harmful effect on engine performance and longevity.Only clean the MWR filter with MWR cleaner and then only useMWR Airfilteroil to re-oil your filter.Caution: clean and pre-oil once a year regardless of mileage.
